You are very unique in God’s eyes.
I’ve been reading in Luke and enjoyed everything about the journey of Jesus here on earth.
This morning I read about Him healing people. I found it so fascinating how each person Jesus healed was different. He didn’t touch each person the same way. He didn’t even say the same words.
God Chooses To Make Each Healing Unique
I’m reading in Luke 7:6-14. Jesus heals two people in this scripture in two totally different ways.
When I read the Bible, I journal as well. As I was writing, the first thing that came to my mind was that, God is not limited.
I realized, even though Jesus can do anything He wants, He chose to make each healing unique. He healed them according to their individual level of faith. I find that fascinating!
God isn’t going to treat me the same way He is going to treat you. He’s not limited. Jesus has a beautiful story about taking each person and giving them their own story of healing, power, strength, and courage.
I find it fascinating that he told some people not to tell anyone about their healing. He wanted to let the world see what He had done in order to give the glory to God.
God could have treated every single person exactly the same way, but He chose not to. Therefore, comparison will get us nowhere.
The Faith Of The Centurion
Luke 7:6 And Jesus went with them and when He was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy to have You come under my roof therefore I do not presume to come to You.”
Do You Feel Unworthy?
- How many times have you felt unworthy to be in God’s presence?
- How many times have you felt unworthy of His blessings, of His favor, or of His abundant life.
- How many times have you felt unworthy of your goals, or your dreams.
There have been times in my life where I’ve felt that I didn’t deserve His blessings, but I knew His grace and His favor were with me.
But say the word and let my servant be healed.
The centurion had strong faith, because he knew God was good. He knew God was not limited to His circumstances or His surroundings. He knew Jesus could say one word to heal his servant, no matter how many miles apart they were.
When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him and turning to the crowd that followed Him said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.”
The servant went back and found the centurions’ servant was healed. How amazing! How amazing that Jesus healed his servant by just speaking His word.
What I want to point out to you, is that your situation is unique to you. God will take your situation, and use it in a unique way for His glory.
He just wants a relationship with you.
