When you’re worrying or struggling don’t ever forget that you are a light in the darkness.
I Became Vulnerable
About a month and a half ago after I opened up about a particular situation, I started to get a lot of negative comments from people. It happens when you put yourself out there and you become vulnerable.
One of the number one reasons why people don’t allow themselves to become vulnerable is because they are scared of what other people are going to think of them.
We are scared because we are grounded and rooted in other people’s opinions instead of being grounded and rooted in Christ. The fear stops us from going after what God has for us.
I Want God to Use Me No Matter What The Cost
I’ve always prayed that God would use me no matter what the cost. It’s one of the scariest things you could ever pray for, because when you pray for Him to use you, you don’t know what that’s going to look like.
Sometimes it can be painful. Sometimes you go through a season of struggle. Sometimes you go through the hardest times.
We all need to understand faith and what faith really means.
The Dream God Gave Me to Encourage Me
When I shared that particular story it resonated with a lot of people. It was a vulnerable situation for me at that particular time and I was asking God how He was using me.
God gave me a picture in a dream shortly after I shared that story that I fully believe was a message I needed in that moment in my life.
In the dream it was completely dark and the only thing I could see was a lantern on the wall. The thought that came to me when I woke up was, ‘I am a light in the darkness.’
God was showing me in that dream, that we’re the light, the lantern is God, and the darkness is evil which is the enemy.
In my notes I wrote the light, which is me (and you), is protected by the lantern which is God, from the dark which is the enemy.
The enemy wants to take you away from your joy and all your fun experiences. He’s not going to show up in his own form. He’s going to use people. He’s going to have so many things to use against you in your weaknesses.
Don’t Forget You Are a Light in the Darkness and God is Using You.
Trust in Him and have faith in times of struggles or worry. Search the scriptures to know you are a light in the darkness.
Have you been encouraged today? Leave me a comment. I’d love to hear from you.
