Find What You Love and Do It
You cannot please everyone. I have had people laugh in my face, tell me I couldn’t do it, leave my life and most importantly not understand. This is what I have to say about that…THEY DO NOT NEED TO UNDERSTAND. I hope my point came across clearly there. 🙂 STOP trying to do what everyone approves of that makes you miserable inside. That is your spirit convicting you and you need to change it now. It is time to start doing what you love to do regardless of what anyone else has to say about it. The second part of that is to also walk in forgiveness with those who try to condemn you.
Most people think that family and friends will be the first to support you when it comes to your goals and dreams. Sadly, for the most part, it is quite the opposite. When I began my journey of looking for my own home at the age of 21, you could say my feelings were all over the place. I looked for like 4 months and then was like “I don’t think I can do this.” Then after a short break I gave it a shot again. I found a home and closed right around my 22nd birthday. During this time I had people say stuff about how much it costs, the responsibility, people say “call me when it is done,” and so on. I am sure you get the point. Well, my point was to prove their point wrong. I still live in the same house 4 years later. No one needed to approve my decision but God. Of course, I had to think and be responsible, so if that is what you are thinking about you are missing my point.
My next big adventure was becoming a Beachbody Coach. I didn’t have a “beach body.” I was 22, never owned my own company and worked crazy retail management hours to keep a long story short. I loved the programs and started with Turbo Jam, It is what motivated me to want to join. I thought if I could help at least one person then I knew I was doing something right. My eyes were focused on people NOT money. It was on relationship and not the rank I was trying to achieve. I wasn’t and still don’t push sales or try to tell you everything you want to hear. Does it take work? Yes. It takes work on the business just as much as it takes work to brush off the negative comments that come your way. It is time you stop letting people control your life. They don’t live your life so don’t let them control it.
We all face difficulties daily and they all look different to every person. My encouragement for you today is to find what you love to do and do it! Do whatever it is that is going to take you to the next level.
Let the criticism go over your head and let your ego be left at the door. We all have so much still to learn. I didn’t get to being a full time Beachbody Coach because I thought I knew everything. I did it because I had the passion and the want to do it everyday. Today you need to wake up and hit the ground running. Feed your mind with positive thoughts as soon as you wake up because if not the enemy is going to lay his bed down right in your head and sleep there for the rest of the day.
Do something you love today. Do it with passion. Do it no matter what anyone else has to say.
